I drink grass

And I'm not ashamed to admit it. I have been researching the health benefits of wheatgrass for about six months now, and it's amazing what it contains. This nutrient-rich grass contains 17 amino acids and retains 92 of the 102 minerals found in the soil. These minerals include calcium, phosphorus, iron magnesium and potassium. It is a rich natural source of vitamins A and C. Wheatgrass has more vitamin C than oranges and twice the vitamin A as carrots. It is exceptionally rich in vitamins E, K, and B-complex. It is also a natural source of laetrile (B-17).

This is cucumber juice - a gorgeous bright green. I love juicing cucumbers because they have a light, summery flavor. They are very thirst quenching. This morning our juice was; cucumber, wheatgrass, apple, peach, carrot & spinach.

Amulet likes her juice in a diet coke bottle. If you look closely you can even see an actual wheatgrass mustache. Who gave her access to a diet coke bottle? It couldn't be me. :) As a gemini I guess I truly am a study in opposites. I love my diet coke too.

I've heard about the benefits of wheatgrass, but I've never tried it. Funny you posted this because I was just thinking, "I need to get our the juicer" my fave is carrot/apple/celery. What does the wheat grass taste like?

Hey now, Ms. Contradiction. :P Where do you get your wheat grass anyway out there in the boonies? You must grow it!

Cute pic of Amulet!

Kelly, the wheatgrass tastes like grass actually. :) But it isn't a bad taste...when it's fresh it takes sweet and green...but if the cut grass is over a week old it can have a bitterness to it. I love sweet things so I always add a carrot or an apple to my wheatgrass every time.

D...I actually am ordering it right now. I am so overloaded with responsibilities right now that growing it would be hard. :)
